Onne Sea Port Complex Eleme
The Onne Port Complex, located on the Ogu Creek and Bonny River Estuary, is the first port of its sort in Nigeria to use the Landlord Port Model, which was developed to promote private sector involvement in the port industry.
With its advantageous location, the Port serves as one of the world's largest oil and gas free zones, facilitating exploration and production for Nigerian enterprises. For Nigeria's onshore and offshore oil and gas industry, the Free Zone serves as a logistics hub for oil services. Additionally, it offers simple access to all of the oil fields in Sub-Saharan Africa and West Africa.
More than 65 percent of the cargo exported via the Nigerian Sea Port is accounted for by the Port. In addition to the oil and gas operations, the port conducts several other activities. Among these numerous activities are General Cargoes, Dry and Wet Bulk Cargoes, Oil Well Equipment, Containerised Cargoes, and Additional Logistics Services offered to tenants and customers' businesses. As a result, the port serves several purposes for cargo.
The Port has state-of-the-art, long-lasting infrastructure and equipment and is heavily industrialised. Additionally, there is sufficient land accessible for development to all patrons and potential investors who wish to collaborate with the port on maritime projects. The Port occupies 2,538.115 hectares of land.
One of the largest harbour mobile cranes in Africa, the Liebherr 600, can carry up to 208 metric tonnes. Additionally, one of the port's terminal operators has 220 Gmk5220 grove twin cranes, each of which is capable of lifting up to 300 tonnes of heavy cargo. Additionally, clients in the Oil and Gas industry have access to secure and cosy lodging options at the Free Zone and Port Area.
Because the Port is at security level one (1), everyone conducting business here may do so in a safe, secure, and welcoming setting.
